Feed your creativity and your creativity feeds you.
David Flynn is the camp director of Creative Campfires. He believes in feeding creativity because it’s been his job and passion for 45 years—and counting. Since his first internship in 1980, he has made his living as a graphic designer. He explains, “I was fortunate to be trained by a generation of designers and artists who thrived on collaboration. Together, we sketched, brainstormed, and had fun while uncovering unique solutions. Once we had a spark of an idea, we used our hands and craftsmanship to bring it to life.”
Over the years, he has witnessed how technology has transformed this process. While it has brought many advancements, he feels the losses are beginning to overshadow the gains. That’s why he developed Creative Campfires—a space to reconnect.
It’s about gathering people to talk, work with their hands, and rediscover the beauty that today’s educational and industry systems have quietly processed out. Through meaningful conversations and hands-on exercises, he guides participants back to their original, innate creativity—their internal operating systems— so they can dream and think big once again.
